Obituary of Virginia Mary Sudol

Virginia Mary Sudol went to the Lord January 7, 2016. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, May 3, 1927, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Edward Francis ( August,1998) and is survived by seven children: Robert Neil and his wife Daphne of Scarsdale, NY, Edward David of Bethlehem, Barbara Ann of Easton, with whom she resided, William Paul of Gum Spring,Virginia, Christine Leiser and her husband Chris of Chester Heights, PA, James Mark and his wife Kathleen Doyle of South Amboy, NJ, and Thomas Matthew and his wife Renee Vecere of Yardley, PA, plus eleven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She loved them all, but loved God first. Virginia was the third child and only daughter of Albert and Katherine Fladd, and is survived by one brother, John of Dallas, PA, being predeceased by brothers Bernard (Syracuse, NY) and Albert (Wilkes-Barre, Pa). She was a registered nurse serving in hospitals in Wilkes-Barre, NewYork City, Wichita, KS, and suburban Philadelphia. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 11, 2016, at 9:30 am at the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc.,55 Stark Street, Plains, Pa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am in Child Jesus Church,62 Broad Street, Pittston, PA, Rev. Carl Sulzen, Pastor. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Shavertown, PA. Friends and family may call on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at the funeral home from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and on Monday from 8:30 am till 9:30 am .
