Julie Mae Wiley, 58, of Bear Creek passed on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, with her loving family by her side in the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Plains Township. Born on March 21, 1958, in Lower Southampton, Pennsylvania. Julie was one of seven children to the late Harold and Mildred Harrington Boyer. Julie grew up in the Southampton area and attended local school. She was a graduate of the Neshaminy High School, class of 1976. Julie continued her education and graduated from Wilkes- Barre Vocational School with a degree in Hospital Administration. Julie was a nurse in the Philadelphia area at Holy Redeemer Hospital. She continued her pursuit of education at the Wilkes-Barre Vocational School and graduated as a licensed practical nurse( LPN). Julie then started to work for the Wilkes- Barre General Hospital for several years and later went into private practice. On July 21, 1979, Julie married the love of her life, Mr. Curtis Wiley. Together then raised three young men: Jordan, Curtis Jr., and Timothy. Julie or as many of us knew her as Sis greatest attribute was her true unconditional love for her family. Sis had no problem doing without so others could have happiness. Sis found an overwhelming enjoyment with her granddaughters Julie, Kiera, and Maggie. Sis enjoyed being their Momma. The most important legacy she leaves with them is her unconditional love. Surviving Julie is her loving husband of thirty-seven years, Curtis, at home; sons Jordan and his wife Elizabeth, Bear Creek; Curtis Jr. and his fiancee Kris, Bear Creek; and Timothy and his wife Tash, Bear Creek; sisters Mildred Hurley and her husband Michael, Middleburg, Fl; Judy Juno and her husband Jerry, Levittown; Margaret Fries, West Palm Beach, Fl; and Donna Salamatin and her husband Dominic, Levittown, PA; brothers Harold Boyer Jr., Feasterville; and Benjamin and Dee Boyer, Shickshinny, PA; grandchildren Margaret “ Maggie” Mary Elizabeth Giza; Kiera Lynn Wiley; Julie Mae Elizabeth Wiley; and Logan Shumway.
