Ann Rose Rush, 80, a resident of Riverview Ridge, passed peacefully Tuesday, September 13, 2022, while in the care of the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp. Born in Wilkes Barre on February 7, 1942, she was a daughter of Anna Dinan Kohol. Ann was raised in the Parson section of the city and attended Calvin Elementary School, and James M. Coughlin High School. Like many ladies of her age, she left school and pursued employment as a seamstress in our local garment industry. Her love of sewing lasted thirty five years until she retired. Ann still held a part time job working with the Holiday Inn Wilkes-Barre in housekeeping. Ann married Francis (Butch) Rush and they resided in the Irishtown section of Plains Township. Ann and Frank were members of St. Francis Church, until the church's closure. In her spare time, Ann loved to make dolls and all their clothing for her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family whom she loved dearly. Ann joins in heaven her mother Anna; husband Frank (Butch); brother Charles Kohol; Sisters Mercedes Andoe and Marie Kutza. Surviving to mourn her leaving are her sisters Jean Yagiello, Bear Creek, Geraldine Behm, Mountaintop; and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to attend Ann's Rite of Committal Service to be held on Monday, September 19,2022, at 1:00 p.m.at the Main Chapel in St. Mary's Cemetery, 1594 South Main St., Hanover Twp. In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Donations may be given to the Blue Chip Animal Refuge, 974 Lockville Rd, Dallas, PA, 18612. Arrangements are under the care of the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., Plains Twp.
