Please share a memory of Alan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Alan John Brzozowski, 57, of Plains Township, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Commonwealth Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, with family by his side. Born in Mountain Top on February 20,1967, he was the son of the late John and Josephine Symeon Brzozowski. Alan grew up in Mountain Top, attended St. Jude's Elementary School and was a graduate of Crestwood High School, class of 1985. Alan began working with his brother-in-law Henry in construction. Later on, he worked for MK Rail Co. until the plant closed. He worked at Gatorade in Mountain Top for the past 28 years and retired on February 8, 2025. At work, he was lovingly known as "The Sheriff" by his fellow co-workers due to his strong work ambition and sharp attention to detail. On May 21, 1994, Alan married Sonya Vankevich Endler and resided in Plains Township. There, they raised their children and more recently enjoyed spending time with their grandson. Alan enjoyed the great outdoors and had a passion for fishing, hunting, riding quads, and having a few beers with his family and friends by a fire. He was an avid member of the Miners-Mills Hunting and Fishing Club since 2006. In addition to his outdoor life he had a “burning” passion for making culinary concoctions for everyone to enjoy. Alan showed his skills and love for construction by helping family and friends with a multitude of side jobs and projects. He was always willing to help and now will be lovingly missed by those that loved him. Alan was preceded in passing by his loving parents John and Josephine, and his step daughter Kelly Endler. Surviving are his loving wife of thirty years, Sonya; step daughter Lisa Meeker (Don), Harvey's Lake; step son John Paul Endler (Alexa), Laflin; son Austin (Holly), Plains Twp; son Tyler (Mitchell), Plains Twp; brother George Alaishuski (Alysia), Drums; sisters Phyllis Simoncavage (Henry), Mountain Top; Carol Potoeski (Harold), Mocanaqua; grandson Harrison, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be announced in the near future. Services are in the care of the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., Plains. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
