Joseph T. Milanch, born on September 14, 1944, of Plains Twp. passed away into the hands of the Lord on Saturday, April 26, 2025. He was the son of Edward and Julia Milanch, Plains Twp. He worked at the United Rehabilitation Services in Wilkes-Barre for many years. After his parents passed, he lived with his cousin, Isabel Elick for twenty-eight years. Joseph liked to go for walks and bowling for many years. He participated in the Special Olympics at Chacko’s Bowling Lanes in Wilkes-Barre. We would like to thank Marty Kane for taking him every Saturday, which he loved and looked forward to. He was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish, Plains. Joseph is survived by many cousins. We would like to thank the special and caring nurses at Allied Services Hospice in Wilkes-Barre and the caring nurses and staff at Plymouth Manor and Allied Residents where he received great care. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. in Saints Peter and Paul Church, Plains. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 9:30 a.m. celebrated by the pastor, Rev. John Lambert. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery, Plains. Arrangements have been made with care by the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., Plains Twp.
