Obituary of Ronald Hrubowchak

Ronald Hrubowchak, 86, of Forty Fort, passed away Wednesday April 30, 2025, in the dedicated care of the Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, with his loving family by his side. Born in Wilkes-Barre on November 16, 1938, he was the son of the late Edward Hrubowchak and Verna Oravek Hrubowchak. Ronald, known in Dallas as “Ron the Barber,” was a staple on main street for over 50 years. He enjoyed the conversations and touched the souls of his customers with his pair of clippers throughout the years. Ron loved coaching his daughters’ softball team with his wife Betty in the early years, playing golf every Monday with his son and friends, cooking for his family, watching sports, especially Penn State, and enjoying precious time with his family. Ron was deeply devoted to his wife Betty of 63 years and their love was an inspiration to us all. Surviving family include his loving wife Betty, at home; children David(Mary) Hrubowchak, Litchfield, NH; Sharon(Joseph) Mulé, Clarksville, MD; and Susan Hrubowchak, Forty Fort; grandchildren Lauren(Julie) Hrubowchak; Kristen Hrubowchak; Allison Hrubowchak; Sara Mulé; Maya Mulé; and Gianna Mulé; great granddaughter Penelope Hrubowchak; sister Elizabeth Frank, Dallas; along with his loving extended family. At this time, there are no services to announce. Ron will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Arrangements have been made with care by the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., Plains Twp.
