Obituary of Stella Wysocki

Please share a memory of Stella to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Marie Stella Wysocki, 94, of Plains, passed peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2025. Born in Carbondale on June 19, 1930, Stella was a daughter of the late Anthony and Rose Sachele Salvaggio. She attended local schools in Carbondale and graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School class of 1948. At this same time, a young boy living next store noticed Stella one day sitting out on her back patio wearing her Levi Jeans. He was hit by cupid's arrow. This young boy, Henry Wysocki, married Stella on June 30, 1951. Stella became a stay-at-home mother to raise her five children. She will be remembered as a sweet person with an even temper. Never to yell, she would always have family together at dinnertime for some delicious meal that she made. She didn’t want to learn to drive because she was afraid. She felt safe at home with her family. As she achieved her golden years, Stella loved to watch the Wheel of Fortune and many other game shows, however they all took a back seat to watching the New York Yankees and her Minnesota Vikings play. She was a lifetime fan and had a hidden talent for statistics and players’ histories. She could have been an announcer on ESPN. During her whole life Stella was proud of her Christian heritage, and she was a current member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish, Plains Twp. Stella is preceded in passing by her loving parents Anthony and Rose, sister Concetta, brothers Frank and Jasper. Surviving are her children Henry T. (Evelyn), Pittsburg, Tx; Anthony ( Charlene), Gilbertsville; Diane Sachelle, Gettysburg, Michael, Plains; and Maria Hurst, New Oxford; grandchildren Christopher, Rebekah, Jason; Sarah, Andrea; Jessica, Tanya, Elliott; Allison; Katelyn and Veronica; great grandchildren Lucas, Jacob, Clare, Abby; Wren; and Stella; and brother Joseph, Plains. At this time, services for Stella will be held in privacy by her loving family. Arrangements have been made with care by the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., Plains Twp.
