Obituary of Ronald Lawrence Ferretti

Ronald Lawrence Ferretti, 72, of Wilkes-Barre passed peacefully on Sunday, June 1,2025, while in the care of the Third Avenue Health and Rehab, Kingston, and the compassion of the Compassus Hospice Team. Born in Wilkes-Barre on July 16, 1952, Ronald was a son of the late Guido and Patience Ahrendts Ferretti. He grew up in the city and attended Wilkes-Barre schools and was a graduate of E.L. Meyers High School, class of 1971. Ron then joined the United States National Guard and served the next 13 years when he was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant. Ronald worked for First Eastern Bank as a Banking Auditor until his retirement. In his free time, Ron enjoyed music, movies and cooking for his friends and family. His family was his solitude and being a Poppy was his greatest joy, and he loved each of his grandchildren. Ronald was preceded in death by his loving parents Guido and Patience. He is survived by his son Ronald, son Ryan, daughter Susie and his loving grandchildren and extended family. At a private service by his family, Ron was laid to rest at the family plot in the Fern Knoll Burial Park, Dallas. Arrangements have been made with care by the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., Plains Twp.
