Obituary of Michael A. Suchoski Sr.
Please share a memory of Michael to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Michael Alan Suchoski Sr, 63, of Plains, PA passed away early Sunday, June 8. Mike was born to Annabelle (Dessoye) and Edward Suchoski Sr. on August 20, 1961 in Wilkes-Barre. He was a funny and loving father, brother, uncle and friend to many.
Mike worked diligently for 28 years at the Wyoming Valley Sports Dome (currently The Dome Sportsplex). He treasured his extensive family and spending time outdoors fishing. Whether it was local trout fishing, RV trips to Canada, salmon fishing in upstate New York, or surf fishing while visiting his son and daughter-in-law in Charleston, SC, he embraced his Polish heritage and the shenanigans that came with it. Always sharing a good dad joke and telling stories that resembled the Griswold’s Family Vacation, Mike was always keeping everyone around him laughing. Mike was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan and relished any opportunity to watch on tv or listen to their broadcasts on his transistor radio.
He is survived by his son Mike Jr and wife Abbey; brothers Edward Jr (Susie), J. Ken (Mary), Jeffery (Sue), sister Molly (Wally). Many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held in the Bernadine Hall at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Plains on Thursday, June 12 at 9:30 am. Visitation will occur at 8:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the PA Trout in the Classroom Program at https://www.patroutintheclassroom.org/donate.html to celebrate his love of fishing.
