Obituary of Tristan J Knight

Please share a memory of Tristan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Tristan J. Knight, 40, of Kingston, passed peacefully at his family home on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, while being under the attentive care of his loving wife, children, parents and Compassus Hospice. Born in Kingston on March 25, 1985, he was a son of Gary Knight and Sherry Emerick. Tristan grew up on Carey Street in Plains and moved to the Miners Mills section at a young age. He attended Kistler Elementary School, Dan Flood Elementary School, and was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force. During his teenage years and twenties Tristan fell in love with riding motorcycles and dirt bikes/quads. His passion led him to race at the AMA ATV Pro Racing level. He was also working at Gary’s Autobody Shop where he learned to appreciate classic cars and the hard work that went into restoring them. This helped to fuel his passion for restoring cars and motorcycles. His dedication to the details helped him in his career of becoming a parts manager and then operations manager at many local automobile dealerships in the area. On September 19, 2019, Tristan married Tina Thomas. Together they resided in the Kingston area where they raised their children. In Tristan’s free time, you could find him in his garage, in his fish room breeding fish, or cooking up some great food in the kitchen or on the grill, or spending time with his wife and kids. He loved to listen to all kinds of music and play them on his many guitars. Tristan will be remembered for the love he gave us, the great times we had together, and the legacy of his family that he leaves behind Tristan was preceded in passing by his maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by his loving wife Tina, Kingston; daughter Krystinah McKay; son Teagen Knight; daughter Alexis Knight; father Gary Knight and his wife Rose, Wilkes-Barre; mother Sherry Emerick, Centermoreland; brother Austin Knight, Scranton; along with aunts; uncles; and cousins. Family and friends are invited to a visitation to be held on Monday, June 30, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Bernadine Hall of Saints Peter and Paul Parish, Banks Street, Plains.
