Born in Plains Twp. On August 22, 1951, Daniel was a son to the late Paul Sr. and Mary Druzynski Sabol. He grew up in the Hudson area and attended St. Joseph’s Elementary School and was a graduate of the Sacred Heart High School, class of 1969. Just before his 18th birthday, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. This began a thirty-five-year career in the service. He served during the Gulf War stationed at the Dover Air Force Base and he was an Air Transportation Supervisor. Daniel was honorably discharged at the rank of Master Sergeant that he was most proud of.
During his service, he was also employed at Roth American working on the packing line. After several years of working for Roth, Daniel met a coworker Joann Mattiucci and fell in love. A short time later, on September 10, 1977, the couple was married and resided in Hudson. In 1982, the couple put their hard hats on and started to build their home together. After two years of construction, they moved in, and this is the home where they raised their children Gary and Danielle.
In 1989, Daniel changed jobs and began working for Bishop Hoban High School in maintenance. Over several years of service and the school changing names to Holy Redeemer High School Daniel retired in 2017 as the head of maintenance. He was also a bus driver for the school when either a sport team, band, or students needed a ride, he was behind the wheel.
Daniel was a past member of St. Joseph Church, Hudson, until its closure and a current member of the Saints Peter and Paul Parish, Plains. He was also a fifty-year member of the Plains American Legion Post 558, and a member of the Polish American Veterans (PAV), Hudson.
He enjoyed Nascar racing and his favorite driver was Richard Petty. He loved his rock and roll, but he enjoyed spending his time with his family and close friends. Daniel was a hard-working man, but he was a loving son, husband, father, brother and friend. We will all miss him.
