Tatianna Popple, also lovingly known as Tina, passed into heaven on Thursday, October 16, 2025, with her loving daughter Judy Ann at her side. Tina was in the caring hands of the Laurel Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center of Stratford, New Jersey. She celebrated 91 years of a beautiful full life of love, family, faith, and great memories.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on June 24, 1934. Tina was the daughter of the late Peter and Helen (Molitoris) Mirowski. She was a lifelong resident of the Miners-Mills section of the city. As Tina grew up, she attended local city schools and James M. Coughlin High School. Like many young women of the era, Tina began working as a seamstress in the local garment manufacturing industry in the Wyoming Valley at the Empire Dress Factory.

In 1957, Tina married her lifetime love, Joseph Francis Popple. The newlyweds resided in the Miner-Mills area and together they raised their two children, Joseph and Judy Ann. Tina held employment with Topps Bubble Gum until her retirement in 1996. She was a hard-working dedicated mother to her children and a loving wife to her husband. In her later years, she was graced by having two granddaughters that she was able to spend time with as they grew.

Throughout her life, Tina loved playing cards, she also enjoyed visiting our local casinos. She enjoyed sports and was a dedicated fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Green Bay Packers.

Tina was devoted to her faith and was a past member of the St. John the Baptist Church, Miners Mills, and Saint Dominic Parish, Parsons, until she moved to New Jersey with her daughter Judy Ann.

She was preceded in passing by her parents Peter and Helen; husband of fifty-three years, Joseph F. (2010), her son Joseph A. (2013), and her brother Stephen Mirowski (2016).

Tina is survived by her daughter Judy Ann, Laurel Springs, New Jersey; daughter in law Mary Beth Popple, Hudson; granddaughters Lauren Marie Popple and Julia Grace Popple, Hudson, along with nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to calling hours to be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., 55 Stark Street, Plains.

Funeral service will begin at the funeral home on Friday morning beginning at 9:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in Saints Peter and Paul Parish Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains. Mass will be officiated by the pastor, Rev. John C. Lambert. Interment with the Rite of Committal will be held in the Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville.
