Charles A. Kirkutis III Obituary

Charles A. Kirkutis III, 53, of Wilkes-Barre passed on Friday, October 31, 2025, while in the emergency care of the Commonwealth Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on December 21, 1971, he was the son of Charles II and Diane Rebo Kirkutis. On Christmas morning that year the new member of the family was brought home for the first time in a Christmas stocking, Charles Sr. recalled. He grew up in the Heights section of the city and the family later moved to Mountaintop. He attended schools in Mountaintop and in Wilkes-Barre where he was a graduate of the G.A.R. High School.

Charles was a man of many talents. He excelled at anything he wanted in life. He truly loved his job of being a masonry contractor for the past thirty-five years. He passed his talents and skills onto his son Cameron. Charles could do it all, just name it. His talents in plumbing, tiling, construction, or even working on cars, he was talented in everything he touched.

In his spare time, he enjoyed going for a quad ride in the woods or driving to a destination to go camping and fishing for the weekend. He loved listening to his 90’s rock music on the job site, working in the garage, or when he was working in his garden with his tomato and pepper plants that he would tend to. He cherished the time with his family and friends at parties and family events. We all loved him and his sudden passing leaves us all with a broken heart.

Charles is survived by his mother Diane, Wilkes-Barre; father Charles II, Mountaintop; son Cameron, Plains; daughter Kimberly, Oklahoma; life companion Micky Emerick, Wilkes-Barre; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
