Marilyn A. Krawczyk Obituary

Marilyn Audrey Krawczyk, 75, of Wilkes-Barre, her spirit passed through heaven's gates on Saturday, December 20, 2025, while her family was by her side here on earth at the Allied Service Hospice Center, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on June 22, 1950, Marilyn was a daughter to the late Stanley and Stella Rowny Krawczyk and sister to Kathleen Harrington and Theresa Sabetta.

Marilyn attended local Wilkes-Barre schools and continued her education at L.C.C.C. For over the past forty years, Marilyn was a familiar calming voice on the telephone if you had to ever call the Social Security Administration. The word dedication has nothing on Marilyn, she took pride in her job and was a great asset to the government over the term of her service.

She loved her family and spending time with them going on trips throughout her life. Marilyn was a natural gardener and found her home in the yard cultivating her annual gardens over the years. When she wasn't at the family home, she was at God's home. She was a devout member to the Saints Peter and Paul Parish, Plains, a member of the church choir, and participated in many church activities and fundraisers. She also enjoyed going to Christian music concerts with her nephew T.J. Marilyn had a great sense of humor and was able to make you laugh or be the butt of the joke if it was in all good fun. She truly loved her nieces and nephews. To Marilyn they were her children too and she was proud to share their life achievements as they all grew into adults.

Marilyn, we will miss you and know you are walking with the Lord along the seashore. We will see you again.

Marilyn was preceded in passing by her loving parents Stanley and Stella.

Surviving to mourn her loving memories are her sister and housemate Kathleen Harrington, Wilkes-Barre; sister Theresa Sabetta and her husband Tom, West Pittston; nephews T.J. Sabetta and his fiancée Marie, West Pittston; Matthew Sabetta and his wife Jane, Newtown, PA; nephew in law Shane Miller, Allentown; great nieces and great nephews Parker and Peliah Miller, Allentown, and Victoria Sabetta, West Pittston, and her loving companion her pug, Stanley.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial visitation to be held on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in Saints Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. officiated by the Rev. John C. Lambert, Pastor. Interment arrangements will be held at the convenience of the family.
