Sherri Lynn Machulsky, 60, of the Hudson section of Plains, Pa, passed away unexpectedly at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital on Friday, January 30, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Sherri was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Calvin and Linda Yale.
Sherri was formerly employed by: Trion Industries, Plains; and a phlebotomist for both Commonwealth Heath, Wilkes-Barre and for the Red Cross, Hanover.
Sherri loved traveling down to the beaches of Cocoa Beach, Florida, with her husband Tommy seeing her grandsons Oliver and their son Eddie and his wife Quyen in Winter Garden, Florida.
Although Sherri was disabled from R.S.D. she did not let that stop her from trying to be independent to get around on her forearm crutches or scooter. Sherri was an avid reader of multiple authors and loved playing games on her tablet to keep busy; her compassion and quiet strength will remain in the hearts of all who loved her.
Sherri is survived by her loving husband Thomas Machulsky, Plains; sons: Eddie Altomose his wife Quyen and grandson Oliver, Wintergarden, Florida; and Nicholas Andrews; sisters: Lori Dupak and her husband Tony, Plains, Linda Mirowski and husband Tom, Hudson; Jenifer Prislupski and her husband Michael, Laflin, Margaret Sauerwine, Plains; sister-in -laws: Patty Sleboda and her husband Joe, Mountain Top, Kimberly Murphy and her companion Paul, Quigley, Pittston; nephew TJ Murphy, Pittston, along with numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews.
Services for Sherri will be held privately at the convenience of her loving family. The arrangements have been made with care by the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc.
