Joseph S. Guzenski Obituary

Joseph S. Guzenski,74, of Pittson, passed peacefully at his private residence on Thursday, February 19, 2026.


Born in Pittston on January 12, 1952. He was one of three sons to the late Joseph and Caroline Rose Mendola Guzenski.


Joe worked most of his life as a dock worker for Consolidated Freight Company until the company closure in 2002.


In his youth Joe enjoyed going fishing with his family and friends. In his adult years he spent his nights watching his old shows on the tv.


Joseph was preceded in death by his loving parents, and his brother Albert.


He is survived by his brother Tony and his wife Bonnie, of Binghamton; niece Jennifer Coffey and her husband Steve, Binghamton; nephew Derek Guzenski and his wife Lauren, Charlotte; niece Christy Guzenski, North Hollywood; niece Keli Williams and her husband Chris, Texas and nephew Bert Guzenski and his companion Daniel, San Francisco.


Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Feb 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc. 55 Stark Street, Plains. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Service will be officiated by Deacon Andre Kabacinski. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Plains
