Obituary of Albert Kenneth Fazzi

Albert Kenneth Fazzi, 86 , of Laurel Run, passed unexpectedly at his home on June 8, 2016. Born on January 13, 1930, in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of Nello and Theresa Gross Fazzi. Albert (Al) attended Coughlin High School. Al served his country in the United States Air Force and later was employed by Foster Wheeler. He also worked independently as an electrician and built several homes. Albert married the love of his life, Amelia K. Plisko on July 11, 1953. Together they celebrated 62 years of marriage and raised two sons. Al was a past member of St. John the Baptist Church, Pittston, and a current member of VFW Post 4909,Dupont. He was a regular blood donor for the American Red Cross. He is preceded in death by his sons Albert Fazzi Jr, 1974, and Anthony (Tony) Fazzi Sr., 2014. Surviving are his wife Amelia, at home; grandchild Anthony( Tony) Fazzi Jr. and his wife Alyse, Harrisburg; one great granddaughter Josephine ( Josie) Fazzi, Harrisburg; brother John Fazzi, Bear Creek; sisters Laura Rompola and Viola (Vi) Centini, both of Bear Creek; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc, 55 Stark Street, Plains, on Friday, June 17, 2016, at 11:30 AM. Services will be conducted by Rev. Jack Lambert, pastor of Ss. Peter & Paul Church, Plains. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service.
