Obituary of Thomas Holbrook Hoskins

Thomas Holbrook Hoskins, 73, of Trucksville, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016. Thomas was born on March 13, 1943 in Nanticoke, Pa, and was one of thirteen children of the late Herbert H. Hoskins and the late Elnora Itinger Hoskins. Thomas served in the United States Army and was stationed in Italy for two years. He was proud to be a graduate of Penn State University and was an avid supporter throughout his life. Thomas was employed by Commonwealth Telephone for 35 years as an engineer. He was a former coach of the championship Back Mountain Little League team. He enjoyed reading and travel having visited many countries, most recently Ireland. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Janet Boehm. Surviving are his wife Patricia Snee Hoskins, and three sons: Thomas, Gary, and Sean; Daughter in law Rebecca; three grandchildren whom he adored: Katie, James, and Charlie; sisters Doris, Las Vegas, NV; Betty Jane, Largo ,Fl; brothers William, Spring Hill, Fl; George, Victorville, CA; Jack, Peru, NY; Phillip, Wilmington, NC; Kenneth, West Wyoming, PA; Norman, Kingston, PA; Allan, Safety Harbor, FL; Donald, Newton, NJ, and Melvin; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at the Yanaitis Funeral Home, 55 Stark Street, Plains, on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at 10:00 am. Service will be conducted by Rev. Michael Kloton. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Twp. with military honors by the United States Army.
