Cheryl, my love, due to a stupid accident, I could not attend your funeral service today, but I am streaming it live on Facebook. I can't believe it was less than 2 months ago that you and I had dinner in Wilkes Barre and we talked for hours and hugged each other at then end of the evening, promising to keep in touch until my next visit to Hudson. God I wish I new then that would be the last time we saw each other face to face. If I had known I would have hugged you harder and maybe never let go. I miss you my friend. While growing up in Hudson, we had so much fun. And when we reconnected our friendship just a few years ago, it was truly a joy. I felt like the years melted away and it was so nice to reminisce about our childhood, share stories of our adult life, our children and grandchildren and so many other things. My heart is breaking thinking that we will never do that again.
I love you Cheryl Mirowski Butry and I always will. Rest in Peace my dear friend. I will miss you until we meet again in a better place and time. God Bless and keep you in his light.

I keep replaying that conversation in my head, because I never realized how important it was until now. The color Pink holds a whole new meaning for me now and I think of you when I see it..
