Obituary of Melinda S. Mock

Melinda Sue Mock, 35, of Plymouth, passed away on August 21, 2023, at her private residence in Plymouth. Born on October 8, 1987, Melinda was the daughter of the late Eddie Mock and Susan Hughes. Melinda grew up in the Wilkes-Barre area and attended Heights and Kistler Elementary Schools and E.L. Meyers High School. Melinda worked as a laborer at Alexandria Moulding in Hanover Township. Melinda was a kind soul that loved her children and enjoyed every moment she spent with them. She enjoyed going hiking and taking family trips to Knoebels Amusement Park. She enjoyed listening to 80’s music and spending time with her brothers and sisters at family events. When Melinda was at home, she enjoyed being crafty, making pillows for her family and watching movies. Melinda joins in heaven her father Eddie Mock. Surviving to mourn her passing are her loving children Isaiah Mock, Plymouth; Evan Crossley, Stroudsburg, Suzie Jean Kohut, Tennessee; mother Susan Hughes, Wilkes-Barre; sisters Liza Irizarry and partner Andrew, Parsons; sister Ashley Caruthers, Wilkes-Barre; Erica Tooson, Dayton, Ohio; brother Michael Caruthers and his wife Lori, Plymouth; Isaac Taylor and wife Meagan, Plymouth; Anthony Tooson, Scranton; Cyle, York; along with several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 29,2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30p.m. at the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., 55 Stark Street, Plains Twp. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. led by Sister Shirley Jones.
