Obituary of Mary R. Brown

Mary R. Brown, 91, of Elizabeth New Jersey, formerly of Hudson section of Plains Township, passed peacefully at her home on Thursday, February 25,2021, with her family by her side. Born in Hudson on June 5, 1929, she was a daughter to the late John and Catherine Byczek Tympalski. Mary attended local Plains elementary school and the Plains Memorial High School. She was employed locally as a seamstress at the former Gort’s Silk Mill, Hudson. On February 8,1958, Mary married her love, William F. Brown and together they raised their three daughters: Mary, Donna, and Patricia. In 1972, William and Mary moved the family to Elizabeth, New Jersey. Both were active members in the St. Genevieve Church. Mary enjoyed spending time visiting casinos and loved to travel. Here goal in life was to visit all 50 states she made it to 45 of them. She especially loved to be surrounded by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William; daughter Donna Brown; grandson John Gawronski, sisters Stella Tempalski, Emily Gornicz, and brothers Frank Tympalski; Walter, Alec, Joseph, and John Tempalski. Surviving are daughters Mary Gawronski and Patricia Brown, both of Elizabeth, New Jersey; granddaughter Jennifer and Mary Ellen. Great grandchildren Erick, Angelica, and Richard. Everyone is invited to attend Mary’s Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Thursday, March 4, at 11:00 a.m. in SS. Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, Pa. Mass will be officiated by Rev. John Lambert, pastor. Interment following in parish cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to mass from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Arrangements are in the care of the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., Plains Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to a charity of your choice.
