On October 19, 2021, Martha (Marcie) Zabriski passed away peacefully at the age of 78 under the care of Allied Meade Street Skilled Nursing, Wilkes-Barre.

She had been a resident of Plains, Pennsylvania since her birth on July 9, 1943. Marcie was the eldest daughter of Martha Snarski Zabriski and Benjamin Zabriski. She is survived by her brother Paul Zabriski, Plains, PA; nephews Jeffrey Zabriski, Atlanta, GA; and Aaron Dixon, Plains, PA; brothers Ronald, Wilkes-Barre, PA; Thomas, Plains, PA ; Ben, Plains, PA; Mark, Kingston, PA; sisters Peggy Griglock and Mary Lou Rundle both of Plains, PA; 13 nieces and nephews, 11 great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both parents and her Sister Patricia (Tish) Murphy.

Marcie was a 1961 graduate of Plains Memorial High School. She was an avid seamstress and spent many years operating and working at multiple dress shops throughout the valley. She later worked in retail and for Wilkes-Barre Area School District working in the cafeteria of district schools until her retirement.

Marcie was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Church, Plains PA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 22nd in Ss. Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains. Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in St. Joseph’s Parish Cemetery, Plains Twp. Friends and family may call at the church Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.

The Zabriski family would like to thank Dr. Gerald Gibbons, Dr. Charles Manganiello, and the Health Care Staff of Allied Meade Street for Marcie’s care.
