Obituary of Margaret Theresa Giovagnoli

Margaret “Margie” Giovagnoli, 89, of Laflin, passed on Wednesday, October 27,2021, with her family by her side in the care of Compassus Hospice. Born February 25, 1932, in Laflin, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Kuback) Kubic. She was educated in Jenkins Township public schools. She worked for RCA in Mountaintop, and Bendix in Montrose. Margie loved being led in a waltz by her husband Joe. She also enjoyed polka dancing with her friends and family. She loved the beach and vacations with her son and family. She also religiously watched the Yankees and Pennsylvania Polka …preferably with some Ceccoli’s pizza nearby. She always enjoyed chatting daily with her many friends and relatives. Margie spent many summers with her granddaughters on extended visits; she cherished every moment with them. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe; brothers Andrew, John, Joseph, and Peter Kubic; and sisters Anna Kubic and Mary Seprish. Surviving is her son Joseph, Harrisburg; granddaughters Lauren and Keira Giovagnoli, Harrisburg; sisters Betty Kelleher, New York; and Rosalie Serafin, Hudson; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Maria Goretti Church, 42 Redwood Drive Laflin, on Saturday, November 6, at 11:00 a.m. Mass will be officiated by Rev. Seth Wasnock, Pastor. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation at the church prior to Mass starting at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given in Margie's memory to Blue Chip Farms Animal Refuge, 974 Lockville Rd, Dallas, PA 18612.
