Obituary of River Owen Swiatek

Please share a memory of River to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our precious son, River Owen Swiatek, 7 weeks old beloved son of Richard and Crysta Rowe Swiatek, passed on Monday, January 17,2022, after being rushed to the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. River was our little snuggle bug that enjoyed smiling and holding your finger. He was a heartbreaker from his first moments and became the boss of mom and dad in his first few minutes here, but he captured our hearts forever. In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by his two big sisters Emma and Alivia; two big brothers Branson and Risen; maternal grandparents Daniel and Pamela Rowe, Wilkes-Barre; paternal grandparents Mark Swiatek, Wilkes- Barre; and Phyllis Hummel, Plains; great grandmother Marie Bogdon, Nanticoke; great grandparents Francis Rowe, Ashley; Phyllis Bolton; Wilkes-Barre; Barbara Horwath; Jenkins Twp.; uncles and aunts; and several cousins. In passing, River now joins his great grandfather's Melvin Bolton Sr; Michael Horwath; and Robert Bogdon, and great grandmother Carol Rowe. A Celebration of River’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 29,2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., 55 Stark Street, Plains Twp. The family has requested please do not wear black to the services. River enjoyed bright colors and is our light in this darkest time.
