Obituary of Kathy C. Kubicki-Paradis

Please share a memory of Kathy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kathy C. Kubicki-Paradis, 48, of Plains Township, walked into heaven like a Rockstar on Saturday, October 29,2022. Born in Plains Township on January 8,1974, she and her twin sister Karen were born on this day to their loving parents Thomas T. and Irene J. Ceccoli Kubicki. Kathy grew up in the Hudson section of Plains, where her family resided. Kathy, at a young age, loved animals, especially horses. She and her sister Karen were escape artists and would sneak out and go to Pocono Downs to see the horses in the stables. She enjoyed being out with her family in nature and this grew her love for the outdoors. She attended St. Joseph’s Elementary School. There, she participated in basketball with her sister Karen passing her the ball and assisting Karen to reach 500 points. She also attended Bishop Hoban where again she participated in basketball and softball. Kathy was employed by the third shift of Maui Cup, the Social Security Administration, and her favorite job was at the Wilkes-Barre Area CTC school for the Nutrition Group. Kathy loved the students and they in turn loved her. Kathy also helped cut and style hair at her brother Steve's salon. In life, her passion was being a mother to her children: Stephen, Chris, and Pink, and an amazing grandmother to her grandson Victor Wyda. When they were all together, they were inseparable. This is what is making her leaving so very hard to deal with. She was the rock and the center of the family. She always would find the good in a bad situation and bring the positive energy into a negative world. Kathy would find the good in others and help them excel to greatness. She had a thirst for knowledge which she passed on to her children. She would love to know facts and learn new things to share with others. Especially little science facts about animals, fossils, or planets. Through out her life, Kathy’s love for nature now incorporated her family. By going on walks at Francis Slocum State Park or going for a bicycle ride on the dike near Kirby Park, she would feel each moment with pure happiness. At home she also started collecting little knickknacks and each one had a story to tell if you had the time to listen. With all the little things that were important to her she had down to the smallest detail. She always dreamed of being a fashion designer because she had great style and taste which she got from her brother Stephen. She also enjoyed going to concerts and listening to music as much as she could, but just like the true rocker she was, she passed at the prime of her life. We will miss you for all the goodness and kindness and love you brought to this world. Kathy joins in heaven with her father Thomas. She is survived by her children Stephen, West Chester; Christopher, Plains Twp., and Pink F. Lloyd, Plains Twp.; grandson Victor Wyda; mother Irene, Plains Twp.; brother Stephen Kubicki, Exeter; sisters Joann Rush, Plains Twp., and Karen Kubicki-Carey, Wilkes-Barre; along with nieces, nephews, and extended family. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., 55 Stark Street, Plains from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Monday morning.
