Rosalie C. Jesikiewicz, 93, of Plains Township, passed peacefully on Wednesday, Dec.28,2022, in the care of the Wesley Village, Pittston, while in the company of her loving children. Born on September 13, 1929, in Plains PA, Rosalie was a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Snarski (Belch). She grew up in Plains, attended local schools, and was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, class of 1946. On October 13, 1951, Rosalie married Albert J. Jesikiewicz. Together the couple raised four children: Susan, Albert, Thomas and James. She then worked as a product inspector for the American Silk Mill. She loved all sewing arts and graced her family with her creations. Rosalie was a devout Catholic and a life member of the Parish of Saints Peter and Paul Church, Plains. During Rosalie's life she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Cub Scout Club Pack 100, and Rosalie was an active participant in planning class reunions. Together Rosalie and Albert traveled the country to spend time with other veterans from the World War II 127th Anti-aircraft Battalion. They lived the winter months in Deland, FL for many years. In retirement, a new job arose of being an active grandparent with her nine grandchildren and great grandchildren. Grammy could do it all and was there for all. She cherished her time that she spent with her family during holidays and family events. This is a story that continues to be written by the love of her family. Rosalie joins in heaven her loving husband Albert (2005); and her sister and best friend, Josephine M. Macaravage. Surviving to mourn her homegoing are her daughter Susan Rusen (Gary), Lebanon, PA; sons Albert (Marcia Wazeter) Yatesville, PA; Thomas (Dianne), Getzville, NY; and James (Maureen), Mountaintop, PA; grandchildren Bethany Rusen (Douglas King), Lauren Edelman (Laurence); Dr. Alexis Felsman (Derek): Janelle Jesikiewicz (Ed Janosov); Eric Jesikiewicz (Erika); Elise Jesikiewicz-McNaugher (Scott); Amy Jesikiewicz; Luke Jesikiewicz; and Kelly Mazzella (Justin); and three great grandchildren Scarlett, Noah, and Layla Felsman; and her nephew and godson Mark Macaravage. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, beginning at 9:00 a.m. in Saints Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. celebrated by Rev. John C. Lambert, pastor. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery following Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Rosalie's memory can be given to the SS. Peter and Paul Church Food Pantry, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, 18705.
