Obituary of Charlotte Burko

Charlotte Kaminski Burko, 93, of Wilkes-Barre, passed peacefully on Monday, March 27,2023, while in the comforting care of The Gardens at East Mountain, Plains Township. She was lovingly cared for by her devoted niece Patricia Koschak. Born in Wilkes-Barre on January 18, 1930, she was a daughter of the late William and Josephine Macaravage Dombroski. Charlotte grew up in the Miners-Mills section of the city and attended local schools. Charlotte worked in office administration until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Michael Burko, sisters Louise Myers; Irene Koschek; brothers Alfred Dombroski, Vincent Dombroski, and Henry Ciernowski. Surviving are her son Joseph Kaminski and his wife Suzanne; daughter Nancy Kaminski; granddaughter Melissa Kaminski; and great grandchild Luca Cisneros. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation and Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Saints Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains Twp. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until the beginning of Mass at 10:00 a.m. Mass will be officiated by Rev. John Lambert, pastor. Interment will be held in Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Cemetery, Plains Twp. Arrangements are in the care of the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., Plains Twp.
