Isabell Tomshack Pawloski, 97, of Plains PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 23rd.
Isabell was born on October 18, 1925, in Kingston and was the daughter of the late Jack Tomshack and Mary Alexander Tomshack. She attended Plains schools and was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
Isabell and her mother owned Artistic Floral Shop in Plains and Artistic Design at the Wyoming Valley Mall for many years. She spent her later years as a floral designer for Boscov’s in Wilkes-Barre, until retirement. She held other jobs in her earlier years at Blue Ribbon Bakery and JB Carr Biscuit Company.
Up until her recent illness, she continued to enjoy creating floral arrangements for friends and family. She also enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, and working on bible word searches. She watched mass and read her prayer cards daily. She loved watching Penn State Football.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, and brother, John (Hammer) Tomshack.
She is survived by her son John of Wilkes Barre, son Mark (Elaine) of Plains, loving granddaughter, Doctor Kara, DPT of Danville, niece Patsy (Jim) Marnin of Colorado and nephew John, as well as other family and friends.
Her family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to those who helped provide care in her final months.
Isabell's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, August 28th, at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Plains. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 am until the time of the Mass. Private interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Carverton.
