William (Bill) Leroy Puterbaugh, 80, of Plains Township, passed on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, while in the care of the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.

Born in Plains Township on December 27, 1942, he was a son to the late George Sr. and Catherine Langdon Puterbaugh.

Bill grew up in the Plains area and attended local school and was a graduate of the Plains Memorial High School, class of 1961.

Bill was a life long craftsman. This started when he worked for Kraft and Associates manufacturing furniture. After many years he changed jobs and worked for Cline Industries that was bought out by Coremark of Hanover Township. At the age of sixty two, Bill retired.

In his spare time, Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brother George Jr., and also spending time walking his beloved beagle.

Bill joins his entire family in heaven: his loving parents George and Catherine; sister Julia Brunn, and brother George Jr.

Surviving are his niece Cheryl Imbriani and her husband Chris, Ashley; and several cousins.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., 55 Stark Street, Plains on Tuesday, September 5,2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

William's funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, September 6, at 10:00 a.m. Funeral Service will be officiated by Deacon Donald Crane. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Plains Twp.
