Fladd and his wife Suzanne of Charlottesville, VA, Robert Neil Sudol and his wife Daphne Tsai of White Plains, NY, Edward David Sudol and Barbara Ann Sudol both of Easton, PA, William Paul Sudol of Gum Spring, VA, Christine Leiser of Glen Mills, PA, James Mark Sudol and his wife Kathleen Doyle of South Amboy, NJ, and Thomas Matthew Sudol and his wife Renee of Yardley, PA. Uncle John loved them all, but loved God first.
John was the fourth child of Albert and Katherine Fladd, being predeceased by brothers Bernard (Syracuse, NY) and Albert (Wilkes-Barre) and sister Virginia (Easton, PA). He attended St. Nicholas School for his first 12 years of education, deferring college to help his father and brothers build their house in Dallas, PA. He then served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1954 aboard several aircraft carriers. He followed this up by earning a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State. He was employed by several firms but decided on a new direction, entering the Jesuit Novitiate in Wernersville, PA in 1964, soon becoming a Jesuit Brother. He subsequently earned a M.S. degree in Physics from Xavier University and was sent to Osorno, Chile to teach high school physics. Upon returning to the United States, he decided to make carpentry his means of living while pursuing his avocation in Biblical research and prophecy, a research area that he engaged in for the last 40+ years of his life. He was a long time member of the Child Jesus Catholic Church where he served as sacristan for many years.
