Patricia (Pat) Ruth Waslin, 77, of Wilkes-Barre, passed into her eternal rest on Monday, December 18, 2023, while in the care of the Commonwealth Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born on August 26, 1946, in Ashley, she was a daughter of the late George and Ruth Myers Oravic. Raised in Ashley, she was a graduate of the former Ashley Sugar Notch High School.

She met and three years later married Robert (Bob) Waslin on May 24, 1969. Together the couple raised two children, Mark and Susan.

Pat enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved having a hand in raising the next generation of her family.

Pat is now joined in heaven with her parents and sister Dorothy Dickson.

Surviving to mourn her passing is her loving husband of fifty-four years Robert, at home; son Mark and his wife Lori, Parsons; daughter Susan Kostelnick, Wilkes-Barre; sisters Margaret Langhorne, Ashley; Nancy Keiper and her husband Keith, Kingston; brothers Richard Oravic and his wife Maureen, Ashley; Jeff Oravic and his wife Pamela, Ashley; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.

At the wishes of the family, services will be held privately.

Patricia’s arrangements have been placed in the care of the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc, Plains Township.
