Obituary of Daniel G. Drevenak Sr.

A decorated Marine and loving father, Daniel George Drevenak Sr., 89, of Exeter, passed on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at his private residence. Born in Wilkes-Barre Township on April 26, 1935, he was one of eight children of the late Andrew and Anna Sterfro Drevenak. Dan was employed as a truck driver for the Nachlis Furniture of Plains Township until the business closure. Dan was a proud Marine and patriot. He enjoyed playing darts in the Dukey's Dart League, bowling in the league at Modern Lanes, going fishing when he could, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife Ann Marie; sister Janet Brenner; brothers Andrew, Robert, and John. He is survived by his children Rose Marie Bieble, Shickshinny; Diane Mitchell, Larksville; Elaine Delzeit, Wilkes-Barre; Daniel Jr., North Carolina; and Stanley, Kingston; sisters Betty Bianoci, Sugar Notch; Anna Mae Yelland, Plains; and Mary Popovitch, Wilkes-Barre; nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. Daniel will be laid to rest at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with military funeral honors in a private service for his loving family. Services are in care of the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., Plains Twp.
