Anna M. Suprum Obituary

Anna M. Suprum, 67, passed peacefully on Saturday, June 1, 2024, while in the care of Lakewood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Nanticoke.


Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a loving daughter to the late Celia and Joseph Suprum Sr. Anna grew up in the Parsons section of the city and was a member of St. Joseph Church. Later in her years Anna resided in Hudson and then Nanticoke.


Anna was a loving sister and aunt who loved to listen to music. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and the staff at Lakewood.


She was preceded in death by her loving parents; brother Joseph Suprum Jr.; brother-in-law William Snipas Sr., and nephew Christopher Andes.


Surviving are her family: Lucy (Ron) Wielgosz, Hudson; Florence Snipas, Wilkes-Barre Township; William Suprum, Miner-Mills; Theresa (Harold) Andes, Kingston; Joann (Jimmy) Hendershot, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.


A special thank you to the great staff of Lakewood and Sacred Heart Hospice for the love, patience, and kindness they showed Anna.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Anna’s memory may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, or Hospice of the Sacred Heart,30 E.D. Preate Drive, Suite 108, Moosic, PA, 18507.


Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held on Monday, June 10, 2024, at the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., 55 Stark Street, PA, 18705, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Deacon Donald Crane. Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Dallas.
