Dorothy L. Amos, 89, of Wilkes-Barre, passed into her Lord’s kingdom on Monday, June 17,2024. Born in Hanover Green on November 13, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Ritrovitz Brelefski. Dorothy, for many years, was employed in the local shoe industry until she followed her passion and opened up her own business Make & Bake Ceramics in 1984. She operated the local business until her retirement. She was a lifelong adult member of the East End Primitive Methodist Church, Wilkes-Barre. Dorothy is joined in heaven with her husband Clarence M. Amos ( died 1989); infant daughter, Jamie ( died in 1960 at one month old); granddaughter Bree Estock( died 1983); grandson Christopher Estock ( died 2019); and brother Stanley Brelefski ( died 2004). Surviving to mourn her passing are her daughters Debra Walkowiak (Bill), Wilkes-Barre; Charlene Luckasavage (Alex), Pittston Twp.; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In honoring Dorothy’s final wishes, she wished to have services private for her family and to be interred on the family plot in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Funeral services are in the care of the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., Plains Twp.
