Obituary of Adam Perrin
Please share a memory of Adam to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On October 12, 2024, Adam Perrin, 49 passed away due to a cardiac event in Cummings, Georgia. He traveled for work and joined many others in his company to support our senior living communities affected by hurricane Milton. Our hearts are crushed by his tragic and sudden passing.
Adam was born in Wilkes-Barre on May 31, 1975. He was the son of Barry L Perrin and the late Dorothy J. Lewis. Adam attended Wilkes-Barre Area Schools and was a graduate of E.L. Meyers High School and Wilkes Barre Area Vo Tech where he studied the electrical trade. After working as a corrections office at SCI Graterford and a loss prevention manager for both Kmart and Macy's. He found his calling when he went to work in maintenance at River Street Manor. He then took a position as the director of maintenance for Five Star Senior Living at the Tiffany Court community. Adam was a hard worker and rose through the positions of the company to just be recently promoted to Chief Divisional Engineer/ Regional Director. Adam loved working for the elderly and would often spend time talking with residents and making them laugh. He was dedicated to making sure they were comfortable and happy in all of his communities. He and his wife were and are truly grateful to his boss and mentor Kenny Douglas who gave him the opportunity to show what he could be capable of and guided him along the way.
On July 8, 2017, Adam married the woman that held his heart since childhood, the former Jennifer Williams. Adam did things on a regular basis to make sure Jennifer and all their children knew how much he loved them. He was an amazing husband and father.
Adam had two sons, Seth and Chance who he loved dearly and was so proud of. He was eternally grateful to Cheryl Perrin and her family for helping him raise Seth. He was also thankful to Jennifer and Ryan Halliday for teaming with him and his wife as they co-parented Chance until the day he passed. Both boys will now and forever be family to Jennifer and her children. Jennifer’s children loved Adam very much and his loss is felt bitterly by all of his family ,colleagues and friends.
In his spare time, he loved woodworking and taking his wife on rides on their Harley. He was a music lover whose eclectic favorites varied from the Grateful Death to country to Prince. To the kids horror he could sing “The Humpty Dance” word for word. He also was a devoted Eagles Football fan which the entire neighborhood could hear on game day. His kindness and generosity was rare. He kept many friends for decades including a group affectionately known as “the elders” including Bradley "Dutch" Kulp, Dean Kazmierski, Cheryl Perrin, Danny Kazmierski, Eddie Gill, Mark "Schmoo" Chmura, & Brian Kulp.
