Obituary of Lauren Dudick

Lauren Dudick, age 74 of Hudson passed away December 11, 2024, with family by her side.
Born February 4, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Zuzelski and the late Lorraine "Renee" Giovannini Zuzelski, both of Hudson. She attended Cotton Ave Elementary School, graduated from Plains Memorial High School in 1967 and attended Wilkes College. After 18 years, she retired from Cross Valley Federal Credit Union in 2013.
She was a lifelong resident of Hudson and belonged to Saint Joseph’s Church, Hudson, joining Saints Peter and Paul Church, Plains, after their merger.
Lauren is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Richard, sons Brian Dudick and wife Jill, Shavertown; Jason Dudick and his wife Jamie, Hudson. She loved being called "Nona" by her cherished grandchildren Sarah, Samantha "Sammie" and Bryce.
Also surviving are brother Louis Zuzelski and his wife Deborah, Hudson; sister Sharon Castano and her husband Frank, Laflin; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Lauren enjoyed reading, sewing, baking, traveling and collecting magnets from every trip. As a season ticket holder, she looked forward to attending New York Jets football games with her husband Rich.
She was known for her Italian Christmas cookies and her homemade Irish Whiskey. Cooking was not Lauren's forte. Rich is an excellent cook and enjoys cooking for the family, leaving the baking to Lauren.
She was a former member of the Plains Little League Women's Auxiliary and would be found most nights at the field working the stand or enjoying their sons' Little League games.
Funeral Service for Lauren will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. from the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., 55 Stark Street, Plains. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in Saints Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains. Mass will be officiated by the Rev. John C. Lambert, Pastor. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Wyoming.
Friends and family are also invited to a visitation to be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from 5:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
