Obituary of Bruce Anthony Kachmarsky

Bruce A. Kachmarsky, 60, of Plains Township, passed on July 23, 2015, while in the care of Celtic Hospice, Geisinger South Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. Born on October 8, 1954, he was the son of the late John and Helen Alesczyk Kachmarsky. He was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, class of 1973. After graduating, John found employment as a truck driver and worked for the Plains Township road department ,Popple Construction, and Keystone Blacktop. Bruce was a past member of the American Legion Post 558, Plains and the Polish Club, Hudson. He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. You could find him every Sunday watching the Nascar race cheering on Dale Earnhardt, his favor driver. Bruce is preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his sister Karen Ulatowski, Herndon, VA; brothers John A., Plains and James J., Hudson; Aunts Regina Alesczyk, Plains Olga Kachmarsky, Swoyersville; Jean Alleson; Plains; Joan Sheppard and husband Willard, New Jersey; and Uncle Dennis Kachmarsky, Pringle; along with several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service for Bruce with be held at 9:00 a.m. with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Church, Hudson on Tuesday, July 28, at the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., 55 Stark Street,Plains. Calling hours are on Monday, at the funeral home, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
