Obituary of Leona Mary Manarski

Leona Manarski, 82, of Hudson, passed away on May 5th, 2015 at Keystone Garden Estates in Larksville. Leona was born in Hudson section of Plains Township on June 20th, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Ratajczak) Considine. Leona was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School class of 1950. In 1953, she married Henry Manarski of Plains. Leona and Henry settled in Hudson where they spent 59 happy years together. She was a member of St Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Hudson, and later St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Plains. Preceding Leona in death was her husband Henry in 2012, and a brother Stanley Considine of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Leona is survived by daughters Karen Caffrey and her husband Joseph, Hudson; Debra Manarski, Hudson; son Mark Manarski and his wife, Virginia, Plains; and grandchildren Caitlin, Matthew, Joseph, Erica, and Benjamin. Leona's family wishes to thank the staff at Keystone Garden Estates, and the staff of Hospice of the Sacred Heart, for their extraordinary care. Leona's funeral arrangements will be held privately at the convenience of her family. Memorial donations in Leona's name may be given to the Alzheimer Assoc. Greater PA chapter, 57 North Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barre, Pa, 18701. Arrangements have been placed in the care of the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc, Plains.
