George Francis Hrabousky 92, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015, surrounded by loved ones in the intensive care unit of Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp. George was born October 12, 1922 to his love parents Anna Bugul and Andrew Hrabousky. He attended Plains Twp. Schools. He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Force. He was a World War II Veteran serving in the Italy and Africa with the 457th Service Squadron. Before retirement he was employed by Williams Bus Lines, Wilkes-Barre, for 25 years. Prior employment by Central Slipper Shoe Factory. He was an accomplished guitarist and played with local bands including the Harmony Kings, Jolly Joe and The Bavarians. George was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be lovingly missed. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters Anna Shepko, Helen Nalejweiko and Mary Gosiewski. Brothers Andrew, John, Michael and Joseph. Surviving are his wife of 67 yrs. Pearl Webb Hrabousky, formerly of Bear Creek, daughters Sheran Wozniak and husband Joseph, Bear Creek, Joann Hrabousky and partner Marilyn Arnesen, Portland, Oregon, sons George Hrabousky and wife Sandra, Margate, Florida, Matthew and wife Karen, Bear Creek. Seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. There will be not calling hours . Family and friends are invited to attend a mass of Christian Burial held on Saturday April 18, 2015 at 10:00 am in St. Benedict's Church, the St. Dominic's Worship Site, 155 Austin Ave., Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton, held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Benedict's Parish,155 Austin Avenue,Wilkes-Barre, Pa, 18705. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Yanaitis Funeral Home, Plains Twp.
