Heaven gained a beautiful angel and we lost the most amazing wife, mother, grandmother and sister. We hope you have found peace with your son, Patrick Jr., and are no longer in pain. You have made us the great people we have become. We thank you for raising us, giving us a good life, and helping with raising our children. You will be with us for the rest of our lives till we all meet again. We love you.
Theresa Dieso,79, of Ashley , was welcomed into her eternal life early Thursday, March 19,2015, by her Lord and her son Patrick Jr, who passed on May 13,2013. This year for the both would have been age milestones: Theresa, 80, and Patrick, 50. They will celebrate together in heaven and their family will here on earth.
Born on July 1,1935, Theresa, along with her sister Rose, were daughters to the late Anthony and Anna Kosty Lilienthal. They lived in Wilkes-Barre and attended local schools. Theresa graduated from G.A.R. high school, class of 1954. She found employment with a local purse factory for a short time and then Faith's Shoe Factory , Wilkes-Barre.
On May 21,1956, Theresa married Patrick J. Dieso and together started their family. Over the last fifty -eight years they have been the guiding lights and bedrock of their family. Theresa became a homemaker and mother to their four children. As the family grew older, she also cherished becoming a grandmother to their five grandchildren.
Theresa enjoyed tending to the garden and flowers throughout the summer months. She loved to pass time by going shopping and collecting her beautiful dolls. But most of all she was a devote Christian and attended services regularly at St. Leo's Holy Rosary Church.
Theresa is preceded by her loving parents and son Patrick Jr.
Surviving are her husband Patrick, at home; son Richard and his wife Karen, Swoyersville; daughters Michele Kornacki and her husband Joseph, Ashley; Christine Dieso, Ashley; sister Rose Marie Kotyk and her husband William, Mountaintop; and grandchildren Amber; Richard Jr.;Brittany;Ashley; and Ryan.
The family would like to thank the Eucharist Ministry from St. Leo's for bring Theresa communion, Celtic Care and Cathy Ostrowski for their kindness and compassion when it was needed most, you are doing God's work here on earth, thank you from the bottoms of our hearts.
Theresa's funeral will be held on Tuesday March,24, 2015, at 9:15 am from the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc, 55 Stark Street, Plains. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am in St. Leo's Holy Rosary Church, 33 Manhattan St, Ashley. Reverend Vincent Dang, officiant of the Mass. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Leo's Holy Rosary Church, 33 Manhattan Street, Ashley.
