Obituary of Rose Marie Lewis

Rose Marie Lewis, 79, of Swoyersville, passed on Friday, January 9,2015, after a two year battle with cancer. Rose Marie was born in Swoyersville on March 10, 1935. She was a daughter to the late John and Genevieve Jenziorski Zaleppa. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Swoyersville High School, Class of 1953. She married Andrew Lewis on August 26, 1961. Together they raised two daughters Andrea and Dolores. Rose Marie was employed as a seamstress at one of the garment manufactures in Swoyersville. She later became a receptionist for a medical office for several years and worked at a local supermarket. In her spare time she loved to crochet and spend time with her cats. She is preceded in death by her husband Andrew who passed in 2001, after forty years of marriage, sister Dolores Zaleppa, and brother Norman Zaleppa. Rose Marie is survived by daughters Dolores Rozelle and her husband Jeff, Exeter; Andrea Lewis and her companion Robin Klem, Plains; grandsons Andy and Nathan Rozelle, Exeter; aunt Josephine Conden, Swoyersville; cousins; nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Monday evening from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the Yanaitis funeral home, 55 Stark St, Plains. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 13, at 10:00AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville. Friends and family are ask to go directly to the church. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Wyoming.
