Obituary of Philip Edward Antosh

Philip Edward Antosh, 58, of the Hudson section of Plains Township, passed away at his home on Thursday, October 23, 2014. Born on November 1, 1955, he was the son to the late Edward and Josephine (Honey) Jesikiewicz Antosh. Philip attended school in the Plains area and was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Class of 1973. After graduation Philip joined the United States Marine Corp.. He served in the first battalion, second division where he attained the rank of sergeant and expert rifleman from 1973 to 1977. After returning home Philip found employment with the Pennsylvania Power and Light Company as a jouneryman. After working thirty three years for P.P.L., he retired in June, 2013. Philip was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed hunting with his friends at their cabin in Sullivan County and going on his yearly hunting trip to the Adirondack Mountains in New York State. He adored his three girls and all of his grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Philip was a proud member of the N.R.A, the Polish American Veterans (PAV), the Hudson Servicemen's Club, and several other local clubs. He was a proud father, grandfather, and a good friend to everyone he met. He is survived by his three daughters Rebecca Williams and her husband, Michael, Larksville; Rachel Antosh and her fiance Matthew Hawk, Kingston; Renee Antosh and her companion Joseph Craig, West Pittston; sister Mary Jo Bennet and her husband Keith, Endwell, NY; grandchildren Michael, Adam, Meghan, Sydney and Matthew; niece Tanya Bennett and her daughter Amaya; nephew Todd Bennett and his daughter Abby. And nephew Mitchell Kotarski. A Memorial service will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014 at the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc. 55 Stark Street, Plains, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
