David J. Fedor, 65, of Plains Township passed unexpectedly at his home on Monday, August 4, 2014
Born in Irvington, New Jersey, on March 31, 1949, he was one of four children to the late Daniel and Helen Loferski Fedor. At a young age the Fedor family left New Jersey and moved to the Hudson section of Plains Township. David attended local school and was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, class of 1967. In this same year, he was honored by the Boys Scouts of American for attaining the status of Eagle Scout.
David continued his education and received his bachelors of science in the field of mathematics at Kings College and later his MBA from Drexel University.
He establish employment with the Blue Cross Insurance Company. David moved to the Horizon Blue Shield office, Newark,NJ,where he began to do work in sales. After sometime, David, began to climb the corporate ladder and took a promotion at the local Blue Cross office in Wilkes-Barre. As he continued to excel at his job, David was promoted again to Directors of National Sales based in Allentown, from which he retired after thirty five years of employment.
David was a member of St. Joseph church, Hudson, until the church's closure. In his younger years, he served as an altar boy, and later as a lecture for Sunday service. He was a past member of the Wilkes-Barre Rotary and the Plains Township Planning Commission.
David enjoyed going antiquing on weekends, playing basketball, camping in the mountains, and going fly fishing in local streams.
He is preceded by his mother, father and brother Richard.
David is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, the former Elaine Jescavage; sons David and his wife Anna, Lehman Twp., Andrew and his wife Megan,Dennison Twp.; brother Daniel and his wife Peggy, Hooksett, NH; sister Andrea and her husband John Koskulics, Freehold, NJ; grandchildren Joey and Natalie, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014, beginning at 10:00 AM in Ss. Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John Boyle. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery, Plains. Friends and family may call on Saturday morning at the church from 9:00 AM till time of mass.
