Obituary of Lucy St. Pierre

Lucy St. Pierre ,86, of Glen Lyon, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday,October 9, 2013. Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, July 4, 1927, she was the daughter of John and Mary Clooney.In her early teens her family moved to New York City where she attended High school and Columbia University. Following this she attended Brown University where she met her husband, Lucien M. St. Pierre. She attained her degree in accounting and became a Certified Public Accountant Due to a death in the family , her husband and she took over the Union Transportation Trucking Company, Gloucester, Massachusetts, until the company's untimely closure. She worked as a CPA until its closure. Together they had two children, Robert and Elizabeth. Lucy enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, gardening, and spending time caring for her family. Lucy was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Alexander, her grandson, Robert J.Joffe, her sister, Mary McGough, and her husband, Lucien. She is survived by her son, Robert and his wife ,Donna St. Pierre, Sterling, Virginia.; daughter Elizabeth Joffe and her husband Peter, Glen Lyon,Pa., her brother John Alexander and his wife, Marilyn, Ohio; and granddaughter Melissa Kubicki and her husband Michael along with her two great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Michael Robert Kubicki, Chesapeake, Virginia.
