Leonard M. Bielski Obituary

Mr. Leonard M. Bielski, 75, a tenant at the Kingston Health Care Facility, and a former resident of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at the Wilkes - Barre General Hospital.


Leonard was born on January 13, 1939, in Plains township. He was the only child to his late parents Ignatz J. and Tekla K. Mroz Bielski. Leonard grew up in the Plains area and attended local school. After graduating high school, Leonard join the US Navy. He served as a fireman apprentice until his honorable discharge.

Returning back home, Leonard found employment as a shipping clerk with the Dental Company, Wilkes-Barre. Leonard was employed for twenty plus years until his retirement.


In his later years, Leonard enjoyed traveling our country. He was a past member of St. Joseph Church, until the church's closure.


Leonard is survived by cousins and extended family who cared for him.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at 9:30 A.M. in Ss. Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains. Mass will be celebrated by Rev. John Boyle. Interment will be held in St. Joseph cemetery, Plains. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Luzerne Foundation,140 Main St, Luzerne, PA, 18709.
