Obituary of Walter William Savage Jr.

Walter W Savage Jr nicknamed Gator, 54, of Plains Township died suddenly of a heart attack on Sunday, July 24, 2016. Born August 2, 1961, he was one of 9 children to Shirley and the late Walter W Savage Sr. Gator attended Coughlin High School. He was a lifelong dedicated employee of Medico Industrials. Gator was an intelligent, funny and easy going man. He was friends with everyone and a true pleasure to be around. He was generous and always willing to lend a hand. He enjoyed spending time with his entire family; many memories were shared hunting, fishing and camping throughout the years. From a young age, Gator was a genius with mechanics from his automotive abilities to his highly skilled industrial professional work. He had a mind that loved to think strategically and even developed invention theories of his own including the “Fifth Wheel”. He had a love and passion for motorcycles and music. He rode and owned many bikes through his lifetime and his love for music was widely known; from his awesome dance moves to his thousands of records. He would kindly volunteer to DJ for family and friends events. He was a loving dad of three children whom he spoke about with such happiness; they were the joy of his life. Gator was preceded in death by his father, Walter W. Savage Sr. He leaves behind his mother, Shirley; daughters, Melissa Savage of Wilkes-Barre; Nicole Savage and her fiancé Eric of Latham, NY; son, Walter Savage III of New York City; sisters, Sharon Bunk and her husband Joseph of Plains; Donna Drevenik of Wilkes-Barre; Connie Levandowski and her husband Michael of Nanticoke; Lynn Voychuk and her husband Michael of Wyoming; brothers, Robert Savage and his wife Rita; William Savage and his wife Jacqueline of Swoyersville; Daren Savage and his wife Kris of Plains; Scott Savage and his wife Kelly of Kingston; and beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Friends and family are asked to attend Walter's Life celebration at the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc, 55 Stark Street, Plains, on Thursday , July 28,2016, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM
