Emily M. Gryczka, 92, formerly of Liddon Street, Wilkes-Barre, passed on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, while in the care of the Golden Living Center East Mountain, Plains Township.
Born in Wilkes- Barre on June 4, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Amelia Baranowski Gryczka. Emily was formerly employed by the Pentagon and the Social Security Administration as a key punch operator for many years.
Emily was preceded in death by her brothers Adolf, Frank, Andrew Gryczka and Leo Grisko; sisters Anna Blessner, Stella Kalinowski, Josephine Tokach,and Blanche Gryczka.
Surviving Emily are several nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be held on Saturday , December 3, at 10:00am at the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc.,55 Stark Street, Plains. Services will be officiated by Rev. Jack Lambert. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. There will be a private family viewing on Saturday morning prior to funeral services. Arrangements were by Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., Plains Township.
The family would like to thank the Golden Living Center Nurses and Staff for making Emily’s last years filled with love and dignity. Thank you for caring.
