Obituary of Rita Hartman

Rita Marie Hartman, 42, of Wilkes-Barre, passed on Saturday, July 28,2018, in the Celtic Hospice Unit  Geisinger South after fighting a courageous battle with breast cancer and leukemia.

Born in Hanover Township on November 23, 1975,she was a child of Eileen Arnold Hartman and the late Charles Hartman Sr. 

Rita attended local Wilkes-Barre schools and was a graduate of James M Couglin High School, class of 1993.

Rita worked as a waitress at Stookey's Bar . 

She was most proud of being a mother to her two children Larry and Becky. 

Rita was a courageous fighter and always had hope. She was reissued that she was not fighting alone with the love of her children and family behind her everyday. 

Rita was preceded in death by her father Charles Hartman Sr., who passed earlier this year on March 20,2018.   

Surviving are children Larry and Becky Steuer; mother Eileen Hartman, brother Charles Hartman Jr. and step sister Tina Stritzinger. 

Services are being held privately. 

Arrangements are in the care of Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., Plains Twp.
