Obituary of Patrick Joseph Dieso

Patrick J. Dieso Jr. 47, of Sugar Notch, fell asleep on Monday, May 13, 2013, and entered into his eternal rest.
Born in Ashley, on July 1, 1965, he was the son of Patrick J. and Theresa Lilienthal Dieso Sr. He attended local school in the Ashley and Hanover areas. He graduate from the Hanover High School, class of 1983. After graduation for a brief time he learned the trade of welding. Pat changed careers early in life and he began to work for the Insalaco Food Distribution Company as a meat cutter. Pat was employed by Insalaco for twenty five years until 2007, when an automobile accident changed his life. However, Pat made the best of his life. He was a true outdoorsmen. He loved to fish, hunt, and target shoot. He enjoyed to go on hikes to pick mushrooms. His backyard every year grew into a beautiful garden. With his knowledge of food, he was an exceptional cook on the barbeque and smoking foods. Pat enjoyed all sports especially Nascar; the New York Yankees; and the Pittsburg Steelers. He was a member of the New Angola Gun and Rod Club. Patrick is preceded in death by his grandparents Charles and Nellie Dieso; and Anthony and Anna Lilienthal.
Surviving Pat are his father Patrick Sr. and his mother Theresa, Ashley; brother Richard and his wife Karen, Swoyersville; sisters Michelle Kornacki and husband Joseph, Ashley; Christina Gushock and husband Michael, Wilkes-Barre; nieces Amber; Brittany; and Ashley; and nephews Richard, and Ryan.
Pat's funeral will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at 9:15 a.m. from the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., 55 Stark Street, Plains. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00a.m. in St. Leo's/Holy Rosary Church, Ashley. Entombment will be held in St. Mary's cemetery, Hanover. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Friday, May 17, 2013, from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.
