Obituary of Paul Winiewicz

Paul Winiewicz Jr, 62, passed away Wednesday morning in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Paul and Angeline Kishleski Winiewicz. Paul was cared for by his loving and devoted parents most of his life, as a result of suffering physical and mental disabilities after his birth. He attended the day program at United Cerebral Palsy Center, Wilkes-Barre. Later in life, Paul was a resident of Timber Ridge Nursing Center. Paul always had a smile and kind words for everyone that he met. He was able to overcome his many disabilities with dignity, kindness, and love. Paul was preceded in death by his sister, Diane and brother-in-law Dr. Carlos E. Rodriguez. Surviving is his sister Nancy L. Rodriguez, Mountain Top, as well as many cousins. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday, March 12,2016, at 9:30 am in St.Benedict's Parish, 155 Austin Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00am till time of service on Saturday. A special note of thanks is extended to Dr. Michalene Torbik for her professional excellence and compassion and also to the staff of Timber Ridge Nursing Center for the many years of kindness and tireless efforts to provide for Paul's comfort.
